School Districts are very high on most people's list when deciding where to live. We've put together this little guide to help you understand Northern Kentucky's schools better. Each of the links to the different school districts takes you to a page where you can drill down to specific information about individual schools in that district. We've linked to the State of Kentucky's own official database of schools to keep everything as objective as possible. We've also provided the School Report Card link so you can see how the schools in that district are performing. Northern Kentucky also has one of the most extensive collections of Catholic and private schools in the nation but it's not a part of this list. Boone County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, the population was 118,811, making it the fourth-most populous county in Kentucky. Its county seat is Burlington. The county was formed in 1798 from part of Campbell County, and was named for frontiersman Daniel Boone. Boone County is part of the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the location of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, which serves Cincinnati and the tri-state area.

Gallatin County, is a county in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, the population was 8,589. Its county seat is Warsaw. The county was founded in 1798 and named for Albert Gallatin, the Secretary of the Treasury under President Thomas Jefferson. Gallatin County is included in the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located along the Ohio River across from Indiana.

Grant County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, the population was 24,662. Its county seat is Williamstown. The county was formed in 1820 and named for Colonel John Grant, who led a party of settlers in 1779 to establish Grant's Station, in today's Bourbon County, Kentucky. Grant County is included in the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Kenton County is a county located in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, the population was 159,720, making it the third most populous county in Kentucky (behind Jefferson County and Fayette County). Its county seats are Covington and Independence. The county was formed in 1840 and is named for Simon Kenton, a frontiersman notable in the early history of the state. Kenton County is included in the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area.
